It isn't hard to set one up and I think that opening up some sort of donation would be beneficial. The way I see it is an alternative to Adfly. Instead of forcing all users to sit through ads (some harmful ones) you give the option to donate if you enjoyed the mod. Your time is definitely worth something and you are spending time on the mod. Just my two cents of course. PS I would definitely contribute I just looked at the sign up form for Paypal. I don't feel comfortable giving my address and phone number, as well as my first and last name, to them. So I'm not gonna be using PayPal.

Fair enough The amount of info you need to give up on the internet is scary when you think about how much access anyone with a computer and basic skills can have. When this gets big (notice I didn't say if ) You may need to reconsider but who knows.

I have never donated to any mod. EVER. So "if" I donate to you, that would be quite extreme and out of character... That's just my two cents, don't let me discourage you from making a donate button

You're safe as long as you don't go around giving people your personal info.

I have a PayPal and have for quite some time. You're safe as long as you don't go around giving people your personal info. Question: Do they ever mail you things? And, if they do, could I theoretically use a fake address?

No, they send some emails but not more than 2-4 a week maybe. The address has to be right because they send you receipts and confirmations.

I don't feel comfortable with an Internet company sending me things through real mail. Maybe if I got a postbox, but that's a big maybe. Besides, if you're going to donate, you should donate to charity. They need it more than I do.

You misunderstand. The address is only for if you need to associate your account with a credit or debit card that would require having a billing address. They don't send anything, they need it for verification.
